In 1915 a revival of the Ku Klux Klan occurred near Atlanta, Georgia. The second generation was not only anti-black, it also showed racism and discrimination against Roman Catholics, Jewish people, foreigners, and organized labor. The revival was fueled by the surge of immigration that occurred in the United States in the early 20th century. In this second generation the new leaders adopted a modern business system of recruiting and because of it, saw it's groups numbers rapidly rise to numbers much higher than before. The new KKK also appealed to a larger amount of people as it was less violent and more into pursuing the purification of politics, with main violence strictly occurring in the south.
